Adventurous Bibliophile Book Club!
Meeting November 8, 2018

Join the Adventurous Bibliophiles on their latest experience when the group meets to discuss the book. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows.

The Adventurous Bibliophiles meet twice a year and offer a new option for anymore who would like to be in a book discussion group but who doesn't feel they can meet on a monthly basis. The Bibliophiles will meet on November 8, 2018 at Eureka Public Library, and interested readers can choose between the 2:00 PM discussion or the 7:00 PM discussion.

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society garnered rave reviews on its publication in 2008 and was recently made into a movie. The book follows life on the Channel island of Guernsey after the Germans occupy it during World War II. Eureka Public Library has multiple copies of the book for checkout and discussion questions are available for review. Participants are encouraged to wear fashions/clothing from the World War II era and to also bring mementos to the discussion to share.

There is no cost to participate but the library would like readers to pre-register so we can plan for handouts and refreshments. Readers may sign up for wither time by stopping by the library at 606 N. Main St., Eureka, or by calling 620-583-6222.
